Southwest Public Schools is honoring its principals this October during National Principals Month, recognizing the vital role they play in leading schools, supporting teachers, and shaping student success.
Principals are often described as the “heartbeat” of their campuses, setting the tone for excellence, inspiring staff and students, and ensuring schools run smoothly day in and day out. This year, the district is highlighting how principals help the entire school community level up through their leadership and commitment to collective efficacy.
“Principals are the leaders who make us go round,” said Dr. Adams, Superintendent of Southwest Public Schools. “Their dedication, vision, and resilience inspire us all to work together as a collective force. When we level up through shared purpose, our students achieve more than any one of us could imagine.”
Throughout the month, Southwest Public Schools is encouraging staff, students, and families to show appreciation for principals through small gestures of kindness, notes of gratitude, and words of thanks.
As National Principals Month continues, the district reaffirms its commitment to celebrating and supporting its school leaders, those who stand at the center of every achievement, every milestone, and every success story within Southwest Public Schools.
